Takram Workshop

Two-day design engineering workshop operated by Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP)

Through the Takram Workshop, organized by the Korean Institute of Design Promotion, I gained valuable insights into how designers can use new technology in brainstorming to create more innovative solutions.

Our team explored the new touch technology through a beam-projecting device capable of interacting with physical materials. We used specially designed papers with coded holes, similar to QR codes, allowing the linking of various digital content, such as news articles, images, and videos.

My main commitment was to encourage team members to brainstorm and integrate these ideas into key ideas for creating synergies with the technology, resulting in a new form of newspaper as a new media of the future. Through a process of iterative prototyping, we achieved the development of our core concept into an interactive newspaper. This newspaper had the capability to display online news content when users interacted with the coded holes.
