Riverside Mountain
Dayou Winia Group Training Center Design
Winia, a manufacturing company, commissioned the reconstruction of a training center situated in a serene countryside surrounded by mountains and rivers. Creating a multi-use space function such as comfortable leisure space as well as training halls for employees.
The redesigned training center prioritized capturing the Deul River view. The strategic configuration and window planning ensured that the flowing river became a focal point visible from every space within the center. According to the different space types, the gradual change in using materials contributed to creating distinct moods throughout the building.

Dayou Winia Group
Founded in 1999, Dayou Winia Group began manufacturing automobiles and installing parts for Hyundai partner company seats through Dayou Atech, experiencing exceptional growth. The newly constructed training center embodies the history of Dayou Group, portraying 'manufacturing' as its core identity.
The design challenge 1
Flexibility
In order to provide spaces of various sizes according to the program of the education, I devised a space with partitions that can divide the space with movable walls in the auditorium and dining hall. In addition, I designed the flexible the accommodation that the 4-person room can be expanded to 8-person room by installing folding doors between the 4-person rooms.
The design challenge 2
River view visibility
Utilized the site’s river panorama, strategically planning the building layout for optimal views. Positioned the auditorium on the ground to mitigate the road barrier’s impact on the view, ensuring a conducive learning environment. On the upper floors of the building, comfortable accommodations with panoramic river views were created.
The Tilted Façade
Tone & Manner
Rough and raw materials like concrete blocks and metals were chosen to embody Dayou’s industrial identity in public spaces. In contrast, warm and soft materials such as wood were incorporated in private areas to mitigate the cold ambiance.
